As a person who believes deeply in the power of individuals and groups to transform their lives and work spaces, my approach to problem solving is collaborative and creates positive, lasting, and meaningful change. After obtaining a master's degree in Psychology, granted by San Francisco State University, I pursued my doctorate at Stanford. It has been an honor to serve for over twelve years as an associate professor of clinical psychology and now as a director of a program for 85 doctoral candidates. My mentees include over 50 doctoral candidates and a number of colleagues doing important research and clinical projects. I am complimented when colleagues describe me as both effective and compassionate. My research methods and statistics classes feed my “inner data nerd,” though my greatest joys come from working with individuals and teams to achieve personal and team success.

Let's get smart people together to solve difficult problems using evidence that exists all around us. From small tweaks to major overhauls, together we can evaluate the challenge, explore its meaning, develop and implement a plan of action, and then enjoy the benefits of our work. We can do that with maximum effectiveness and efficiency, in ways that decrease costs and add value. My skills are rather eclectic: sophisticated logic skills, leadership skills, and motivating and understanding personal growth.

I am a puzzle-solver; I thrive when helping individuals solve dilemmas of any size.

As a licensed psychologist and evaluator, I am a member of the American Psychological Association and the American Association of Evaluators. I work with companies and schools to improve the effectiveness of programs using evaluation, data, and strategic planning. Whether you are seeking an individual therapist to help you solve a tough problem or thrive during a difficult transition, seeking an evaluation expert to solve a company-wide internal or external crisis, or looking for a presenter to talk to your team about issues related to program effectiveness, I am here to help. Let's talk... We can find elegant solutions for your toughest problems. Together.
